You’ll Never

Never is a hard word to swallow or say.

But I can guarantee you this one thing: you’ll never be as pretty as the super model selling things to you.

No matter what you buy, no matter what you try.

And I want you to sit in that pain for a minute… and then realize that you’re not going to look like that super model because you are too busy looking like you.

And what a wonderful thing that is.

So, be yourself, above all else. You can still do it with the make-up, dress, bra, workout routine, that you found online.

But be you while you are doing it.

Love,

Bailey

Your Story

You know when you’re in a bookstore and you pick up a book and realize it’s very similar to one you’ve read before.

Well, I hate to be the one to tell you but there’s very little originality in this world anymore. Everything is so yesterday, having been done before and many times at that.

But there is one thing that will keep you from diving down the hole of depression on this one: it’s you.

You have never written your story.

And it will be unique, and wonderful, and something that the world has never seen before.

Because it will be yours.

In the narrative of this country and this life, do not forget to write your own story. This is your chance to make it what you want. Never mind that everyone is doing something similar. Your voice will stand out.

It always has.

Love,

Bailey

If You Haven’t Seen Me Lately…

…then you haven’t seen me.

That’s how you have to think about yourself. Constantly reinventing.

Okay, so you’re not Madonna. But you do have new challenges and new constraints to work with everyday. So, it’s important that you see yourself in a new way when you can. And more than that, you should be believing that you can do it.

It could be anything — new clothes, a new haircut, anything! Any time you can re-evaluate who you are and what your new limits can be then you can start fresh. You can fall in love with yourself for the first time or for the first time in awhile.

So, take opportunities to reinvent yourself seriously. It’ll affect how you see yourself and how others see you. After all, you never know who you can be until you try.
